Its been quite a busy few months here at Kate Fearnley HQ, We have had so much going on. Not only have we had a full Brand and website update, we had our biggest annual event with the launch of our new Bridal and Prom collections for 2018.

As well as all this we also had the very exciting news that we WON the regional final of Dressmaker/ Designer at “The wedding industry awards” #TWIA.

Its such great news to be recognised for the service we provide in the North East, which we know is as unique as our dresses. We are so excited for the National awards in January!

So …the big launch of our 2018 Collections was a pretty special event, we chose Acklam Hall in Middlesbrough to Host the launch .

After doing some styled photoshoots there earlier in the season, we were in no doubt that it was the perfect venue for our runway event.

The Hall is a grade 1 listed building, set in its own grounds with a small lake. Many original features of the former school have been sympathetically retained , it’s an absolutely stunning venue, and the Grand hall was perfect for the event.

We dressed the room with twinkling lights, and our friends at Sweet William Floral Design, created some floral arrangements to compliment the scene, which surpassed our expectations, they were out of this world, just so beautiful. Given our collection themes were Wonderland Bridal, and Hollywood Atellier Prom, the room was both glamourous and dreamy , and couldn’t have looked more perfect.

The models certainly walked the walk, the dresses were shown beautifully, and the reaction of the audience spoke volumes. Its always great to hear positive audience feedback.

It was also a great opportunity to team up with Bakers Tailoring who showed the very latest designs in menswear for 2018. Not forgetting the stunning make up by award winning Anna Cordelia Mason, and Hair by the super team from Watkins Wright Hair Design. Pretty much a dream team to work with.

We were really lucky to have the whole event beautifully documented by some fabulous creatives. Ian Forsyth captures the essence of the evening with some beautiful candid behind the scenes shots, whilst Simon Hogbens take on the evening were more traditional runway images. We were also lucky enoughto have the event was filmed by Rich Lehman a local documentary filmographer . You get a real feel for the dresses, the detail and the sparkle are perfectly shown.

I think you will find between the three of them you get a real feel for just how beautiful an event it was.
